Q-Line Gaskets - EPDM
Note: These gaskets are available as Metal Detectable/X-Rayable Detectomers®, contact for pricing and availability.
Black EPDM Sanitary Q-Line Gaskets are specified by many process equipment manufacturers and are generally suitable for these applications, however service life must be considered and a preventative maintenance program must be in place to mitigate degradation. EPDM Gaskets are generally only suitable for low pressure steam between -30°F and 300°F. EPDM is a good choice for Tri-Clamp® Gaskets when an economical solution for weather and chemical resistant seals is desired. Chemically, EPDM has good resistance to animal oils, vegetable oils, ozone, strong chemicals, and oxidizing chemicals. Do not use EPDM gaskets for mineral oils, solvents, or aromatic hydrocarbons.
